When it comes to die-cast
collecting, the more the merrier,
and when it comes to HM, the more
the merrier.
Just received my Lexington (yellow
wing) SBD, and it is the best yet.
The two HM SBD's and the Stuka
are now on permanent display!
DJ from Los Angeles:
I just received the Coral Sea and
Lexington Dauntless last night. The
only thing I can say is, wow, these are
MIGHTY pretty. I'm not going to be
able to add anything that hasn't
already been said previously about
how good these planes look.
I will say that I'm going to think twice, if
not three or more times, next year
when I'm making my die-cast budget.
Maybe it's the fact that I've always
been fascinated by the Dauntless?
Maybe it's that Spectacular pre-war
paint scheme? Whatever it is, I'm sold
and everything else is looking a little
second tier.
On first glance, these Hobby Master
airplanes so out strip anything being
done by Cxxxx that I might cut out
Cxxxx all together. The planes I got
yesterday are such a thrill it will be
worth the wait.
HT from Connecticut:
Got the "red nose" Stuka (HA0110)
from E-Bay and boy was I
impressed. As you know, Stukas
aren't my thing, but man this model
is a beautiful piece. Then I gleefully
opened my two SBDs WOW! What
detail, heftiness and attention to
quality. I am sooooo glad I cancelled
my Ixx Dauntless! So my opinion of
Hobby Master is that this company
has what it takes to be a major
player. A company that actually
listens to its customers is truly a rare
gem.
PN from North Carolina:
I now have the Stuka and all three
SBDs. I've been looking over them
the past couple of days, and I have
to say, if your reading this and are
still on the fence about getting your
first Hobby Master.....fear not! Buy
one before they're gone I think
you're going to really like them
I always get excited when I order
and get new die-cast. But I don't
think I've been AS excited for a
while as I have been with these
new Hobby Master models coming
out. And Hobby Master didn't
disappoint in fact I'm now looking
forward to any new Hobby Master
releases more than any other
brand Hobby Master is fast
becoming my favorite company. It's
hard to believe that they are new
and just released their first models.
If they keep up what they are doing
I'll be tickled If they improve on
what they've done so far I won't
know what I'll do.
This is just my personal thoughts
and opinions. I'm sure there are
some that won't agree and will say
they still like this or that companies
models better... and that's fine. But
I say go Hobby Master go. And
those of you that don't have a
Hobby Master model yet... try to
buy ONLY one.
Louie From Florida:
I knew this was going to happen.
These models are gems and
these first releases will not last
long and will definitely be held
onto by most collectors. Get them
now before you pay big bucks
you will not be disappointed. Just
owning 3 of these models has
made me re-evaluate my
collecting tastes and I have
started selling off planes I know
will be replaced by much better
and less expensive ones.
I want this company to thrive. If
this company did 100 different
models I would most likely buy
them all and get rid of all the
ones I have instead. I really do
like HM's stuff that much.(This is
not a paid advertisement for HM)
I am just so happy that a die-cast
company understands what
collectors want.
Guys, I cannot believe my eyes. I
bought 2 Dauntless today. They
are as good or better than
Dragon without the fiddly bits. So
much detail unreal I am elated.
S987 from New Zealand:
But I have to agree with you, these
planes are superb! I have received the
Coral Sea Dauntless and the Rudel Ju
87, and they have far exceeded my
expectations. The panel lines are not
too pronounced, the detailing is great,
including the cockpit interior, and the
slight weathering just adds to the
overall impression.
If Hobby Master can keep this up, I
believe we have got a serious
contender in the market. Cxxxx and
Dxxxxx are going to have to lift their
game to retain their position!

I just wanted to say what a great
job Hobby Master has done on
their models. It is nice to see a
company go after new subjects. It
seems that some are hell bent on
finding stuff wrong with a model.
Not me. I am happy with stuff and
am capable of overlooking some
minor problems. That said, I have
never found anything wrong with
any of my Hobby Master stuff.
Hobby Master has advised me (by direct email) that they will send me a replacement canopy in the next few
days. I'm quite impressed with the customer service shown by Hobby Master - in my opinion certainly
superior to others!
Cheers,
